Arapiles is Chamberí at its calmest. Between Glorieta de Quevedo and Calle San Bernardo, it offers the district's classic fabric (brick buildings with glazed balconies, well-kept entrance halls, local shops) without the bustle of the main axes.
It is a neighbourhood much appreciated by families: the Teatros del Canal and Santander park sit on its northern edge, and the surrounding educational and healthcare offering is among the most complete in central Madrid.
Quevedo, Canal and San Bernardo (metro lines 1, 2 and 7) connect it within minutes to any point in the capital, with Malasaña and the University City a stroll away.
