Gaztambide is Chamberí's western end, next to Argüelles and the Moncloa university axis. Its grid streets (Gaztambide, Andrés Mellado, Hilarión Eslava) combine classic buildings with very well-maintained mid-20th-century blocks.
The atmosphere is set by the nearby University City and an established neighbourhood life: bookshops, cafés, traditional shops and the cinemas and theatres around Princesa and Fuencarral.
The Moncloa transport hub, metro lines 3, 4 and 6 and the natural exit towards the A-6 make it one of the district's best-connected areas, with Parque del Oeste as a great green lung minutes away.
