Prosperidad ("La Prospe" to madrileños) is Chamartín's most soulful neighbourhood. Born as a working-class quarter in the late 19th century, it preserves irregular streets, low houses and a fabric of local shops and taverns that makes it unmistakable.

That authenticity, combined with more accessible prices than the rest of the district, has attracted a young professional population that mingles with lifelong residents in an increasingly valued mix.

The Avenida de América interchange (metro lines 4, 6, 7 and 9 plus airport buses) makes it one of Madrid's best-connected points, with López de Hoyos and Plaza de Prosperidad as centres of gravity.
