Ciudad Universitaria is Moncloa's green, academic neighbourhood. The Complutense and Politécnica campus, conceived in the 1920s as a city of knowledge, gives it name and character: tree-lined avenues, historic faculties and residences set among gardens.
Its residential fabric consists of colonies such as Colonia del Metropolitano and open-block ensembles with green areas, highly valued by families and professionals linked to the university and nearby hospitals.
Parque del Oeste, Dehesa de la Villa and Casa de Campo surround it in green, and the Moncloa interchange (metro lines 3 and 6) connects it to the centre in minutes.
